A guide with hints, tips and strategy ideas to help you win when you play Roulette online
Roulette has always been one of the most popular casino games in bricks and mortar casinos. Many online casino's have managed to re-create that special buzz so as a result the roulette is incredibly popular in this form of casino. Roulette is the win big and fast game that is all about chance - no-one can predict the number that will end the spin, though there is every chance you can play a strategy to try and maximise the chances of winning. There are a variety of bets that any player can put together in any one spin. You can place as many or few bets as you want though when the dealer, or computer calls "no more bets" you will have to wait for the next spin!!
There are 36 numbers and a zero on the roulette table, coloured red and black. Zero is green. There are a variety of bets that are both inside the line (based round the numbers) and outside the line based more on groupings.
The inside bets, and their payouts are as follows:
Straight up bet - placed on any one of the individual numbers, including zero and paying out at 35-1
Split bet - where the chip covers ANY two numbers and if either comes in then the player still wins, with the pay out at 17-1
Street bet - placed at the end of a row of 3 with the house paying out at 11-1
Corner bet - where the chip covers the corner of four individual numbers and pays out at 8-1
Line bet - when placed overlapping two numbers on the line the chip actually covers all six numbers along the line and pays out on any of them winning at 5-1
The outside bets are as follows:
Column bet - placed as the name of the bet suggests on the entire column, from the bottom of the table, beneath 24, 25 and 36. This bet pays out at 2-1.
Dozen bet - this based on numerically the first second or third 3rd of the 36 numbers and pays out at 2-1 as the column bet.
Colour bet - a straight choice between red or black that pays even money
Odd or even - as it suggests, it's a straight choice again and pays out at even money.
High/Low bet - trying to pick the numbers up to 18 from 1 or from 19 to 36, as the odds would suggest this also pays out at even money.
Unlike blackjack there is less propensity for strategy here as there is such an element of chance that each new spin offers the casino a marginal edge.
